In line with ECB recommendations, Kent Cricket Board is to establish an Officials Association to support and further the aims and objectives of cricket umpires and scorers in Kent.
All cricket officials are invited. At the meeting there will be a vote to agree a constitution and elect officers. Full details, including an agenda and a proposed constitution are available here
****************************** Funding programme for 11-21 year olds UnLtd are working in partnership with Comic Relief to run the UnLtd Sport Relief Awards, a UK wide funding programme which is aimed at young people between the ages of 11 and 21, who want to use sport projects to address a social problem or lack of understanding in their communities. They support individuals with bright ideas and have £1,000,000 to give over the next two years! See here for more details **************************************** District Squad Match Manager - Bromley District run 3 representative teams (U10, U12, U14) and each team needs a Match Manager to assist with the assessment and selection of the squad, organise practice sessions, select teams and liaise with families, promote fair play and encourage the team, and send in match reports, all with the support of BDCC. A small renumeration will be paid for these posts. Contact us if you are interested.
Coach - BDCC offers a range of cricket courses and opportunities for Girls and Boys of all ages and abilities throughout the year. To administer these courses we are maintaining a database of coaches, together with a coach development plan. We can advise you on the training required to become a qualified coach. See the Coaches section page Should you like to be included on our database for future appointments and/or updates for coaching matters and opportunities, please complete and return this_registration_form Groundsman - The ECB has teamed up with The Institute of Groundsmanship to provide a programme of progressive training courses for the management of cricket pitches. Umpire or Scorer - this is a rewarding way to keep involved with the game. No qualifications needed and all training given. Open to all ages.
