URBAN CRICKET

BDCC have introduced an opportunity for 11-19 year olds in areas of deprivation within the district to enjoy and play cricket and offer them the chance to obtain a cricket coaching qualification.

In 2007, BDCC, in partnership with London Community Cricket Association (LCCA) Broomleigh Housing Association, local sports colleges, Youth Workers, Local Community Police, Kent Cricket Board and Bromley Mytime initiated cricket sessions locally for ECB qualified coaches to teach skills in batting, bowling and fielding. This allowed work towrds obtaining the Cricket Young Leaders Award.

Please contact Ken Slater for more details.
